The course offers the opportunity to acquire basic theoretical and practical knowledge of the diagnosis, classification, decision-making and treatment of pelvic ring and acetabular fractures.
Participants will be introduced to the subject by recognized experts in the field of pelvic and acetabular surgery. Focusing on practical exercises with anatomical specimens in the wet lab, the participants will have the opportunity to train basic surgical techniques under the guidance of our experienced faculty. This will help to prepare them for their everyday clinical routine. Each workstation is limited to 2 participants.
After completion of the course participants will have:
refreshened and enhanced their knowledge of the basic principles of diagnosis and decision-making in pelvic ring injuries
discussed different case-based emergency care techniques for pelvic ring injuries
learned the background of basic internal fixation techniques for pelvic ring injuries
understood the clinical and radiological decision-making process for acetabular fractures
practiced the essential surgical procedures in pelvic ring and acetabular trauma and improved their manual skills
understood the AO principles in pelvic ring and acetabular fractures and learned to apply them
